Me, the admin of MKI, and some other MKI's members attended this concert and had a great time at this last Angie's live performance.
Since we had told her through SNS that we would be going to the concert, she specifically talked in English in one of the MC's to thank us for our continued support. Sources close to Angie herself have confirmed to me that she even chose to sing "Kiss Me Good-Bye" in English just for us.

Right before the concert, Japanese public TV network NHK interviewed us while holding a banner with a support message for Angie from MKI. Some sources have told us that our interview will probably be part of the special documentary NHK have scheduled for an August 22nd broadcast.

Small File Icon A film about "Tegami"
Reported by illeot on 08 Jul 2014

In 2011, Japanese writer Otsuichi, under one of his pseudonym, Nakata Eiichi, wrote a really succesful novel based on Angie's song "Tegami", and in her journey to meet the children of the chorus, the name of the novel was "Kuchibiru ni Uta wo".

In February of next year it will be the premiere of a film based on this novel, and the famous actress Yui Aragaki will have the leading role in it. The film will be directed by Miki Takahiro, know for works like "Solanim" or "Bokura ga Ita". The main song of the film will be, obviously, "Tegami ~Jyugo no Kimi he~".

Angie, who will be living in the USA by the release of the movie, has said that she's very honoured, and that she still remember the fantastic time she spent with the children, so she is happy for this decission.

This is the official site of the movie, and this is the official promotional picture of Yui Aragaki for the film.
